Erika Schwartz, M.D.– Founding Director
A cum laude graduate, AOA honor society member, from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Erika trained at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY in Internal Medicine and Critical Care. Upon completion of her postgraduate training, at the age of 28, Dr. Erika became the first woman and youngest doctor to be named Director of Emergency Medicine at Westchester County Medical Center- New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Since the start of her distinguished career, Dr. Erika has been committed to empowering patients and teaching physicians compassion alongside with scientific and clinical information.
Dr. Erika has lectured at Harvard, authored the seminal article on the use of hormones in wellness and disease prevention in the prestigious peer reviewed publication Medical Clinics.
She is a founding director of the not for profit Bioidentical Hormone Initiative and a senior faculty member of the Bioidentical Hormone Institute.

Joseph Raffaele, M.D.
Louis Cregler, M.D.– Director
Louis L. Cregler, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C. is a board-certified internist and cardiologist, regional dean, tenured professor of medicine, with many years of accomplishment as an educator and senior-level administrator in academic medical centers and university teaching hospitals. Dr. Cregler is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in American Education and Who’s Who in Medicine and Health Care. He is committed to advancing the continuum of medical education, from pre-college through post-graduate continuing medical education, creating a student-centered life-long learning environment, fostering diversity and inclusion and achieving health equity.
Dr. Cregler received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn, College of Medicine. He is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Angiology, American College of Physicians, and the New York Academy of Medicine. He has lectured extensively on preventive health issues. He has published more than 130 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, editorials, and book chapters in medical journals.
He is active in the SUNY Downstate, College of Medicine Alumni Association and is presently serving on the Boards of Managers and Trustees. He is also Past President of the Board of Managers of the Alumni Association. He is the current Chairperson of Board of Trustees of the Alumni Fund. He serves as Chief Academic Officer and Director of CME for Bioidentical Hormone Initiative’s (BHI) CME Courses.
