6 AMA PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDITS approved course by SUNY- Downstate College of Medicine highly sought after intensive one-day practitioner education seminar covers the clinical application of BHRT, insurance issues, testing, diagnosis, clinical protocols for men and women, dosage titration, successful application of nutritional supplementation and extensive review of case studies.  The presenters will discuss the latest medical evidence presented at the International Menopause Society World Congress in June 2011.

 

Seminar format will be small groups and will include significant time devoted to individual participant discussion, questions and discussion of relevant issues encountered in clinical practice.

 

 

 

     

Faculty:

Erika Schwartz, M.D.

Dr. Schwartz. Graduate of NYU and AOA, cum laude SUNY-Downstate College of Medicine is a leading expert in the field of BHRT, wellness, and disease prevention, is the Founder and Director of a prominent New York medical practice and a Founding Director of the Bioidentical Hormone Initiative. She is a member of NAMS, MSSNY, ACOG, AFTRA/SAG, NYSSIM and is future president of the Board of Managers and Trustees at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine (2013). Since starting her distinguished career, Dr. Schwartz has been committed to empowering patients and teaching physicians compassion alongside innovative scientific and clinical approaches. She has lectured at Harvard and is lead author in the Medical Clinics Of North America for 3 white paper publications on hormones ( 2008 and 2011).

 

Joseph Raffaele, M.D.
Dr. Raffaele received his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.D. from Hahnemann University Medical School in 1989. He is board-certified in internal medicine and is a diplomat of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. In 1995, Dr. Raffaele began researching and developing a scientifically based treatment program and co-founded PhysioAge Medical Group, a clinical practice focused on age management medicine.
